How do I pay?
When you sign up they will ask for your credit card details, they accept most major credit and debit cards (VISA, Master Card and American Express).
What if I change my mind?
If you’re not 100% happy, give them a call on 02037942739 so they can work with you to resolve any issues. To cancel immediately, you can use the “Cancel my subscription” button within the online platform or email them at support@matr.org and they will process your cancellation. Any pending sessions in your subscription that are already paid for but not used will remain booked for you to use. All future payments will be cancelled. If you don’t have any pending sessions, or once you have used up your pending sessions, you will no longer have access to the platform, worksheets or reports.
Can I cancel a weekly session?
Yes, you will be able to completely cancel a session if more than 24 hours notice is given. Let them know by emailing them at support@matr.org. You may want to replace this session by rescheduling it for another time (see above). They know sometimes unavoidable things come up, but unfortunately, if they’re notified less than 24 hours in advance they can’t replace or reschedule the session as they need to give our tutors sufficient notice for any cancellations.
How will I know if my child is making progress?
Their weekly session reports allow you to understand how your child is getting on a week to week. It will include lessons (content) and learning objectives (skills and knowledge) covered, and whether a topic has been learned for the first time, knowledge has been reinforced, or areas have been identified for further work on in future sessions. You can also see how your child found the session, their engagement levels, and what comments they have left about their session. In a trial with Rising Stars, their students made 7 months progress after just 14 weeks of sessions, and children with low mathematical confidence saw a 10% increase confidence form only 1 session per week.
How do I access weekly session reports?
You can find these easily by logging in (as a Parent, into the Parent portal), and selecting ‘Reports’ from the menu options under the icon in the top right-hand corner.
When can my child use the worksheets?
Whilst you can access the worksheets at any time, they recommend that you give the worksheets to your child once they have fully completed the relevant lesson (which may take place over a few weeks). You will know that a lesson has been completed when the name of the lesson appears in the main screen of your parent portal, under “Lessons already taught.” This is to ensure they have covered all the relevant learning objectives with a tutor beforehand.
